When I was younger we had a family of cats living in our garage. I named them and made sure that they were fed every morning and night ( I got into a lot of trouble when my mom caught me). Speaking from experience, it's better to let go now. The longer you wait to stop feeding him, the harder it will be. And the more likely you will be to get the bubonic plague.

I will take your side on this one... the baby raccoon is the cutest little guy ever! So what if you end up being bitten twenty/thirty times by him later this year? who cares if you have to get a nine inch needle stuck in your back because you may have contracted rabies, who cares if 80% of your income goes into feeding him?? he's cute, he's a baby animal, and for those brief moments you can enjoy feeding and playing with the little fella. The memories will help you through the long, painful process of curing who knows what the little guy will pass on to you. :)
